In order to send a text message from your computer, you are going to use an app called MightyText. The app is available for free and does more than just letting you send a message. Here’s how you can use it:

  1. Head to the Google Play store and download and install MightyText on your Android device.

  2. Launch the app when it has been installed.

  3. On the first screen of the app you should see a button saying “Complete Setup.” Tap on it to go ahead with the setup procedure.

  4. On the screen that follows it should ask you if it can access the Google App Engine in your account. Tap “OK.”

  5. You should now be on the final step where you can see a URL that you need to enter in a web browser on your computer. Type in the URL to the browser and press Enter.
